Privacy Policy
Sicilian Oven ("Sicilian Oven," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect through our website and related services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you contact us, request a catering quote, sign up for emails/specials, or apply for a job, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, message details, event details, and—when you apply for employment—information such as your work history, eligibility-to-work information, answers to the optional Work Opportunity Tax Credit questionnaire (whether you or your household received certain public benefits, military veteran status, and whether you were convicted of a felony or released from prison in the last year), and a photo, where you choose to provide it.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we may automatically collect device and usage information (such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring links) through cookies and similar technologies. Your selected store location and your menu photo preference are saved in your browser (local storage) so the site can remember them on your next visit; this stays on your device.
Ordering. When you place an order, join a waitlist, or order delivery, you do so through third-party platforms (such as Toast, Uber Eats, and DoorDash). Information you enter there is handled under those platforms' own privacy policies, not this one.
2. How We Use Information
- Respond to your inquiries and catering requests;
- Send promotions, specials, and updates where you have asked to receive them (you can opt out at any time);
- Evaluate and process employment applications. Answers to the optional tax-credit questionnaire are used only to determine eligibility for the federal Work Opportunity Tax Credit; they do not affect your application or any hiring decision, and the restaurant you applied to does not see them;
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and services; and
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate (for example, website hosting, form and email providers, analytics, and hiring/payroll providers), and with authorities or others when required by law or to protect our rights. Service providers are expected to use your information only to perform services for us. Job applications are shared with the restaurant you apply to and our HR team. Your optional tax-credit answers go only to our HR and payroll team and the service providers who help us claim the credit, not to the restaurant.
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (such as pages visited, links clicked, and approximate location). It uses cookies and similar technologies, and we keep analytics data for up to 14 months. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We do not currently use advertising or marketing pixels on this site. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies; some site features may not work as well without them.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal or tax requirements, or until you ask us to delete it. Job applications and tax-credit records are kept only as long as needed to consider your application, claim the credit, and meet legal recordkeeping requirements.
6. Your Choices & Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing communications at any time (including via the unsubscribe link in our emails). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
7. Security
We use reasonable, industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Our website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Third-Party Links
Our site links to third-party services (such as ordering, delivery, gift cards, and social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies. Some pages also show maps and videos from Google, YouTube, and OpenStreetMap, which may collect information such as your IP address under their own policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we will update the "Last updated" date above.
